Lakar let an amused smirk slip onto her features. She turned to him, then came slowly around to his side, as if tanting. This was something she had come to be good at in the past, but this time it was in a playful way, for she liked her leader now, the doubts she had previously had when she had first seen him completely disappearing.
You can control a herd. And what is your definiton of a herd? A group that respect you, will do as you say, and know that you are the boss? I'm afraid not. I will never be controlled by any, even if I am willing. I do not mean that you mean to control, but just to let you know - I can go a little wild sometimes.
An amused flicker came into her eyes, energy pumping through her even as she spoke these words. This was, in a way, playtime for Lakar.

As the mare moved towards his side and stood next to him, Black Sea gave her a playful nudge and moved over a bit. He bent his long curvature once more, and parted his pan to take yet another long drink out of the pool of fresh cool water.
Yes, that is my definition of a herd. But do not worry, for you do not need to follow me, only obey me during the few times when I need you too. Slaves, on the other hand, must obey me at all times. You, are not a slave.
She had spoken words of going wild...now, Black Sea wasn't sure of it, but the mare he was standing beside seemed a little antsy to him.

Lakar nodded slowly, her gaze up in the sky for a moment, thinking suddenly, and in doing to looking to the dark clouds that soared overhead, above them, threatening to break any moment. She lowered her own head, and took a sip from the waters, before raising it again to speak.
No, and I never have been one. Do not worry, though, for although all what I may put on the suface and seem, I will be loyal to you in every way when you have need of it.
She tossed her mane back over her neck, the flicker in her eyes dieing down a little, but certainly not dieing out. It was always there really, but now she allowed it to flicker and dart in her orbs.

Black Sea dipped his elongated curvature to dip his pan into the cool waters once more. He took a long sip as he listened to more of what Lakar had to say. Dark clouds were drifting over his lands, and threatened to break their water upon the two unicorns at any moment.
And that is why I took you into my herd.
He responded simply. Summer was approaching them, and sweat streamed over Black Sea’s lucid pelt. He placed one flint in the water, oh, it felt so refreshing. He then jumped into the river, most likely splashing some of the cool liquid on Lakar. He didn’t care. He dunked himself under the water completely, so even the porcelain scar by his auburn orbs was covered by water. He was not a foal, no, he was seasoned, but who said he still couldn’t have fun? He called to Lakar for her to join him. They were dark yes, but the sun was beating down on them, though many of the dark clouds covered the sky as well.
